What is your favorite gemstone is not a diamond, ruby, emerald or sapphire?

Mine is Iolite is pleochroic and because nobody is always sure what it is and I like a "change of colors. I also love pink tourmaline.

My favorite is the opal b / c it is my birthstone the moonstone feldspar mineral that has been cut and polished.
